Ear surgery, or otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head.

The procedure is done under local anesthesia and last about one hour.

A small incision is done on the back of the ear to expose the ear cartilage. Dr Larocque will then sculpt the cartilage and bend it back toward the head. Dissolving stitches will close the incisions. A bandage will cover the ears and will be removed in ten days. A bandeau will have to be worn during the night during two weeks.

The ears will be in normal position, closer to the head and of normal appearance.
